Professor Hideaki HANEISHI
Chiba University has established an education and research organization in the field of medical engineering from early on, and it has been strengthening this field.
Its strengths are (1) strong cooperation between engineering and
medicine, (2) cooperation with industry, and (3) cooperation with overseas institutions. These collaborations provide a strong foundation, especially for the development of researchers. This program, which utilizes these strengths,
was adopted by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology as a "university fellowship establishment project for the creation of science and technology innovation." This program aims to foster researchers
who will create innovative medical technology, and to provide excellent and enterprising doctoral students with research support funds, as well as improve research capabilities and support and secure career paths.
